Providing luxury Bed and Breakfast and self catering accommodation in a peaceful idyllic village setting with a choice of three self-contained private guest suites and guaranteed off road secure parking, The White House is a perfect base from which to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty.  The Bishops Palace  and Market Place in Wells are just a 20 minute walk away from The White House, reached by a  paved pathway across Bishops Palace fields, offering stunning views of the Cathedral and Glastonbury Tor.  Click the link to review the pathway.

Your hosts, Rod and Mary, bought The White House after falling in love with the area and this wonderful Grade II listed 17th Century old coaching house.  They have furnished it with love to provide both a wonderful home for their family and a luxurious get away for their guests. 

We pride ourselves on a warm friendly welcome, excellent food cakeand luxurious accommodation with the relaxation and indulgence of our guests at the heart of all we do.  We are able to offer a highly personalised service and if anything isn’t exactly to your liking, we do our utmost to deal with it then and there.  Everyone is welcome and free to be themselves here – no matter who they are or they love.  We’re committed to offering inclusive hospitality for our LGBTQ+ guests, so we’ve completed training to become Proud Certified.

Here at The White House we love to showcase the work of local craftsmen and as part of this we are delighted to announce that we are now selling Impens8 cider, a local craft cider made from a blend of eight bittersweet apple varieties which can be purchased as takeaway gifts by our guests. 

Impens Orchards grow at the foot of the Quantock Hills in Somerset, winners of the Best Standard Orchard at the Baath and West Show, is situated on the site of a medieval deer park .  To find out more follow the link to https://www.impenscider.com/
