Film crews have once again returned to Wells, this time to film the Phillipa Gregory novel, The White Queen.

The whole of the area surrounding the Cathedral is cordoned off and we were lucky enough this morning to see 15 costumed cavalry officers riding horses into Cathedral Green.

The White Queen is set in the War of the Roses, beginning with Elizabeth Woodville of House of Lancaster.

The White House has read the novel and is looking forward to the film

Can you believe that Louis, the cathedral cat has been interviewed in Wells Life this week.  In the interview he gives candid details of his relationship with Maisie, the Bishops Palace cat and shares his views on what it’s really like coping with national press attention, and especially those dreadful rumours about him terrorising local dogs…….
