Cider Tours

The long hot days of the summer holidays may now be over but there is still many reasons why a visit to Somerset should still be on your agenda.

I’ll be blogging about all of the up coming events in and around Wells over the coming weeks but at the weekend we decided to try a cider tour.

It was the first time we had actually done this (a crime I know as we have now been here in Dulcote for four years) but on Saturday we visited the Somerset Cider Brandy Company & Burrow Hill Cider at Kingsbury Episcopi, Martock.  The tour (and Julian, the owner of the farm) were a bit off the wall but they were extremely generous with their samples and the orchards and surrounding countryside were stunning.  The farm not only specialises in cider making but also distil and we came home laden with bottles of their Ice Cider, Cider Brandy (also offered on the menu at the recent royal wedding), and Pomona.  I can’t recommend these enough ……

You can follow the link below to choose a tour of the many farms surrounding us here at The White House and we look forward to seeing you soon!
